  In the automotive manufacturing sector, PVC is used for a wide variety of applications. PVC sealant is one such application, and is used for sealing the car body. Compared with other polymers, PVC sealants are better in terms of chemical resistance and superior mechanical properties while keeping reasonable cost. PVC also has the ability to be exposed to harsh weather conditions that suit to this application.
The underbody of all vehicles is sprayed with plastisol for protection against corrosion and snapping. The process is carried out with the use of a spray gun, which is connected to a plastisol tank and pressurized reservoir. Electrostatic may also be applied.
