PVC bags, shrink film, stretch film and labeling film are all produced by a method called the Blowing Film technique. This application is produced with a simple extrusion of the gelled PVC, and form shape by passing into a hollow die, together with a low-pressure air supply, to create a PVC balloon. The stability of the balloon allows for good results and excellent film properties, which include thickness, shrink rate, softness, printability, clarity and mechanical strength. The film properties are also dependant on the efficiency of the machine, blowing conditions and the PVC formulation.
While Siamvic 258RB is recommended for rigid and semi-rigid film, Siamvic 266PS is the best choice for semi-soft and soft film.
