Plasticized or semi-rigid PVC with medium or high-molecular weight is used in the manufacture of cling film, used for wrapping food products. Permeable to steam and oxygen, the PVC used keeps food, such as meat and cheese, fresh. It is equally valued for its high clarity, good puncture resistance and elasticity recovery.

This type of film is produced by the calendering of extremely thin sheets at very high speeds.
