Coated PVC fabrics, such as PVC leathers, are widely used for automotive upholstery. Favoured for their high stain and wear-and-tear resistance, they are an attractive alternative to more costly real leathers.

The coating process used to make such a product makes use of PVC paste, while the calendering process makes use of suspension PVC.
