Crystal-clear rigid or semi-rigid PVC sheets, also colored ones, are widely used to make covers, folders and other stationery articles, due to their high-gloss finish, excellent surface qualities, and low tendency to form fish eyes. PVC resins are also ideal for coating the fabric, felt or cardboard used in stationery.

PVC stationery items are manufactured either by calendering or by extrusion, using flat dies.
